Lafayette Cemetery, No. 2, New Orleans

Last June, I posted photographs from the famous Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 in the Garden District in New Orleans. Earlier this week I was back in New Orleans for Jazz Fest, and went back to the Garden District to photograph the No. 2. The neighborhoods were quite different... one very historic with old homes the other very urban. The cemeteries however were very similiar. One of the biggest thing that struck me was some of the poor conditions of the older graves.
